Happy birthday to Dr. Seuss, the beloved children's author of over 40 picture books, including his two most popular books, Green Eggs and Ham and The Cat in the HatHis influence is seen most clearly in the National Education Association's event to promote children's literacy, Read Across America, a celebration of Dr. Seuss and his books that is held yearly on March 2nd, Seuss' birthday, or "Dr. Seuss Day".

The CHB Read & Review Club is for educators and students who enjoy reading and would like to share the joy of reading with others through reviewing and recommending books. As a bookshop, we often receive special review copies of books in advance of their release dates so that we can review them.

What Pet Should I Get? A New Dr. Seuss Book Coming This July

On February 18, Random House Children’s Books announced the discovery of the original unpublished manuscript for What Pet Should I Get?—a previously undiscovered children's book by beloved author Dr. Seuss. Seuss published his last book, Oh, the Places You'll Go!, in 1990. There have been several other books and stories published posthumusly since his death in 1991.
