The main reason for getting into the book business is our love of books and our passion for promoting literacy. World Book Night is an event designed to give away thousands of books to nonreaders to encourage reading. WBN is calling for volunteers to reach their goal of using 50,000 people to give away one million books on April 23, 2012. Cavalier House books has signed up as a pickup location. Volunteers in the area will come to us for their books to give away. We are so incredibly excited to host volunteers in our store and to give some books away ourselves.
