Matthieu Reviews: Devils in Daylight

Out April 25th, Devils in Daylight is one of two newly translated novels by Japanese Author Junichiro Tanizaki. It opens on writer Takahashi taking a call from his admittedly eccentric friend Sonomura regarding a murder set to take place in the early hours of the morning. After much convincing and prodding, Takahashi takes Sonomura up on his offer to observe the murder first hand. Devils in Daylight  has all the characteristics of a Tanizaki story: Psychological acuity, salacious characters, and a penchant for the dark recesses of human consciousness.

Sophie Reviews All Our Wrong Todays

I opened this book for a time travel adventure and found myself deep in the emotional wake of dealing with the consequences of ones mistakes. Tom Barron, or is it John Barron. I guess it depends on which today you're talking about. Tom Barron is an average guy living in a utopian world with a genius father who only sees disappointment when he looks at his son. Things go wrong pretty quickly. What does someone do when they're brokenhearted and have a time machine? Something stupid.

Walking Dead: The Governor

The second half of season seven begins this Sunday, and I can't wait! As a huge fan of AMC's The Walking Dead, I'm so excited about this novel series. This is the perfect set for anyone who likes to keep up with the Walking Dead characters in the pages. In this series, Kirkman follows the rise and fall of The Governor of Woodbury. I'm truly looking forward to reading about one of my favorite villains in the Walking Dead world.
