Sometimes you enjoy a book so much and because you won't stop talking about it - they just quote you on the cover! That was me with Diane McPhail's upcoming book The Seamstress of New Orleans, which I read in the wake of Hurricane Ida. How interesting that I read this novel through a Gulf Coast hurricane; these characters rotate around one another like a storm! The intrigue surrounding these two young widows will draw you in then you'll be rooted into the story by the historical detail of New Orleans at the turn of the century and the first female Mardi Gras krewe but what you will take away from the novel is the sheer power of female friendship. An exhilarating historical romp of found family and abiding friendship.

I loved this novel and hope y'all will too! I can't wait to see y'all and hear what Diane McPhail has to say when she visits the shop on June 2nd! We'll be open late so swing by at 6 for a presentation you won't want to miss!
